John Welsh
John has been a Christian and a member of the Castlemilk congregation since April 1986. He also lives in Croftfoot and has been married to Janet since November 1994. He completed his HND in Computer Support at Langside College with merit award in every subject. The following year he completed his degree in Computer Networking with distinction and the Court medal award for being top student. John works as a lecturer in Computing at Paisley's Reid Kerr College.
Mark Carter
Mark has been a member of the Castlemilk congregation since 1998 and became a Christian in August of 1984. He married Brooke in April 1997. Mark attended Glasgow University where he acquired his degree in Zoology. Later he completed a masters degree in Aquaculture Business Management, majoring in marketing from University of Aberdeen.
Mark works in IT as a systems tester in Edinburgh.
Derek Brown
Derek has been a Christian since September of 1997 and has been a member at Castlemilk during that time. He spent two years at the Corby Bible school, where he completed the 2-year course in biblical studies. Derek married Diana in July of 1999 and works in the City Centre with a mortgage company. Derek and Diana have recently become parents on the arrival of baby Rachel.
Charles Kennedy
Charlie has been a Christian since Feruary of 1995 and has served at Castlemilk during that time. He married Ann in August of 1985. He gave up his job as a postman to pursue his dream in art, and is currently studying at the Central College of Commerce. Charlie not only has a flair for conventional forms of art, but has unique style of his own. He uses his talent to portray his faith and also uses it to great effect, unleashing his creative side in our building, especially around Christmas and New Year time. Besides this, he has dabbled in amateur dramatics and also has a real talent for writing poetry.
Richard White
Richard has been a Christian since July of 1988. He was originally a member at Castlemilk but moved to Aberdeen where he lived and worked for several years. However, he moved back to Glasgow when he married Sharon in September of 1999. Richard and Sharon are parents to Rebecca and Maria.
